| The company develops, manufactures, and markets ingredients and solutions to the food and beverage industry to 100+ countries.
Responsible for plant and production equipment cleaning, chemical handling, pest control, buildings and grounds inspections, raw material inspection, training, compliance and record keeping. Maintain Master Sanitation schedule.
Review existing sanitation programs, recommend, develop, and implement new or improved programs.
Inspect plants and warehouses to ensure compliance with internal sanitation and safety procedures and programs and comply with state and federal laws.
Oversee all sanitation training programs and completed by sanitation personnel and production operators.
Direct Sanitation crew of 15 hourly employees daily.
Maintain and write detailed clean up procedures and SSOPs for all plant equipment.
Assists in Monthly Plant inspection process. Interface with vendors for cost savings, ordering departmental supplies, and arranging special services in plant (pesticide applications, contracted cleaning and painting, carpet cleaning, new dust collection filter technologies).
Customer Audits and follow-up on corrective actions.
Qualifications:
• BS Science related area.
• Supervisory experience in a food-manufacturing environment.
• Sanitation or Quality related experience in a baking / flour based foods environment.
• Certified by AIB (American Institute of Baking) in the area of plant sanitation for food processing.
• Knowledge and experience with pest control.
MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) and product labeling for chemicals. |
