Description:
Growing, privately held company that manufactures and distributes LED (light-emitting diode) lighting systems for refrigerated, frozen and heated horizontal food and beverage display cases targeting the Supermarket, Grocery, Warehouse / Club and Convenience store markets.

The LED lighting system is for new and retrofitting, providing a much brighter, uniformed light distribution, low voltage, using much less energy, lowering operating costs, no hazardous waste issues and with no components to wear out achieving much lower maintenance costs. Companies are looking for ways to go “Green”. The Western Region is unchartered territory.

Responsibilities:

Define goals, objectives within the framework of the corporate plan, develop, implement sales strategy and tactical plan, conduct market research to establish product requirements and sales potential, assess marketing opportunities on target markets, intelligence gathering on customers and competitors, generating leads for sales, follow-up sales activity, formal proposal writing and closing orders. Use of the company resources in engineering, marketing, sales, information management and customer service to achieve the goals. Typical sales cycle and direct sales process to include prospecting, cold calling, appointment setting, and closing sales. Responsive to economic trends and government policies. Attend workshops, trade shows and seminars to represent the company and products and keep up-to-date on changes in the industry.

Qualifications:

5+ years sales experience to local, regional and / or national grocery, warehouse clubs and / or convenience stores.

BS/BA in a technical discipline with business, marketing, or related experience.

Technically inclined and / or experience.

Consultative selling and strong negotiator.

Direct market, product and industry experience with LED lighting and or refrigerated display cases is extremely helpful.

Proven track record seeking and securing new business opportunities as well as strengthening existing business.

Travel: 30%+.

Salary, Bonus / Commission plan 0-20%, company benefits, 401K plan, home office setup.
